The Xicato module solves many of the problems that remain with power LEDs today. By separating the phosphors from the chips, a more consistent colour is achieved. By mixing the light from several chips in a mixing chamber, a single light source with up to 1000lm output is created; this means no multiple shadowing.

We are working closely with Xicato to create a range of fixtures around these modules. We call them type X. Surf type X of course is rebuildable with interchangeable optics, it locks as securely as ever and can be fitted with our usual range of accessories.
