We're always learning. Because LED's need a good heatsink some of us thought this tiny LED module that we designed with Speirs and Major for St Paul's Cathedral was just too small. But at 350mA Cree XRE LEDs are very efficient, producing 70% of light output while consuming 40% of power compared to running them at 700mA . So at 350mA they do not create much heat.

It takes only a small heatsink to efficiently dissipate that heat and this module is big enough. We're below thermal saturation. If we were to run the modules at 500mA or 700mA there is a bigger difference and this tiny thing would thermally saturate.
