These penguins were photographed by friend of Mike Stoane Lighting Bob Pratt, who is currently working for the British Antarctic Survey at Halley V. Although real penguin chicks may be a bit cuter than our version they are much less useful for providing exterior accent lighting, which is a pity because in winter at Halley V it is dark for 105 days. Mike Stoane Lighting are currently tendering for lighting for the new Antarctic station Halley VI, due to be commissioned in 2010.
